together

Cutest drama I’ve seen in a really really long time. The three major characters can all be described as cute. Even the English name of the drama: To Get Her = Together. Adorable!

As for the main players, I like the fact that Rainie’s character is very solemn. I’m usually not a fan of her upbeat/hyper personality but as the character of Chen Mo Mo, she is forced into a quite role. I love it! She is much more lovable when she is solemn (i.e. her older music video for Ideal Lover).

George Hu as Jia Sen is quiet hilarious. Even when he is trying to be serious or when he’s upset, his character still cracks me up. Jiro is also very funny… Read the rest of this entry »

不良笑花
Bu Liang Xiao Hua

I was definitely expecting this drama to be another one of those immature jokes that the Taiwan entertainment industry occasionally pushes out. After a few episodes (Ok, I watched all ten episodes that have aired within a week!), Bu Liang Xiao Hua or Miss No Good is in reality refreshing and sometimes funny. Rainie Yang does a good job playing a untypical girl with a screwed fashion sense.

I was really excited to see Wilber Pan as an actor and I’m not at all disappointed. In most dramas, the male lead is obviously trying to look handsome on camera with deliberate poses. (*cough* Mike He *cough*) I don’t know if Wilber’s doing the same thing, but he seems like a natural actor.

I’m going to keep on watching as new episodes come out each week. Don’t know if this drama is really for you? Just skim the first episode or two and you’ll know if you totally hate or love the main characters.

Why Why Love is a new Taiwanese drama that shares almost the same cast members as Devil Beside You. In it, the leading roles are played by

楊丞琳 / 杨丞琳 / Rainie Yang …… as Tong Jia Di
賀軍翔 / 贺军翔 / Mike He …… as Huo Da
(ironically, Mike again plays the lovable bad boy in this drama)
王傳一 / Kingone Wang …… as Huo Yan

Sadly, the show compared with Devil Beside You is rather immature. Maybe it targets a younger audience but performance and the plot development is at a completely different level. I do not recommend.

Summary (Wiki Drama)

Tong Jia Di needs a life besides work, paying down family debt, and more work. So her best friend Jiang Xiao Nan sneaks in a “Love” coupon in Jia Di’s ruffle box praying that the lucky guy who draws it will sweep Jia Di off her feet. As it so happens, Huo Yan, the compassionate manager Jia Di has secret crush on, is the lucky guy. But, tho’ the prince can exchange the coupon for Cinderella’s love, it doesn’t mean he will, especially when his devilish younger brother is determined to exchange his “Master/Angel” coupon for her servitude.

This is probably one of the top dramas out there and one of the first Asian dramas I’ve watched. The plotline moves rather quickly and has contains quite a bit of comic relief. The chemistry between the leads (Mike He and Rainie Yang) is obvious. This is a must for all Mike He fans out there. I bet his performance in this series is what turned many of us into Mike fans in the first place. Definitely a worthwhile show!

Having a crush on the captain of the school’s basketball team, Shang Yuan Yi (Wang Chuan Yi), she writes a love letter to him and prepares to pass it to him. Qi Yue, being clumsy, accidentally hands the love letter to Jiang Meng (Mike He). Jiang Meng, called Ahmon or Ah Meng by his friends is a freshman and the school’s bully, smiles devilishly at Qi Yue as she gapes in shock, dropping the love letter carelessly and running away. Qi Yue soon hears from her best friends that Ahmon is the school president’s son. Being rich and powerful, Ahmon and his gang go around bullying other people to amuse themselves. While walking around school, Yue runs into Ahmon. He shows her the letter and reads the front of the envelope out to her. Qi Yue then realises that Ahmon picked up the letter that she dropped.
