As you please aware that this post contains spoilers… as for how much… depends on the color of the writing. Pink = Not much plot is revealed but there’s some potentially dangerous hints. Red = Significant details from the plot are included.
Here I go…
One word: Sugoi! I absolutely adore the ending. Episode 11 not only completes Last Friends but makes it one of the best dramas ever made!
New Episode! Zettai Kareshi 9 & 10
Posted June 19, 2008
on:Episode 9 of Zettai Kareshi (Absolute Boyfriend) can now be found on Veoh with English Subtitles! I can probably upload all of it by parts to Youtube for people who still haven’t discovered Crunchyroll yet. You can also find Episode 10 raw (without any subs) on Veoh. Both of them are really good! Have fun watching!
P.S. I just realized today epi 9 on Crunchroll doesn’t any subs!
JDrama: Last Friends (ラスト・フレンズ)

on:I absolutely adore this drama! It really gets deep into controversial topics like homosexuality and abusive relationships that most Asian drama either avoid or poke fun at. The typical homosexual (very common in Taiwanese drama) is a side character that provides comic relief only and abusive relationship occur only so that the hero can assert his courage and save his love from an evil ex-boyfriend. Last Friends, of course, still has that Asian drama feel but everyone is different this time. The hero is a girl by the name of Ruku who is determined to save her friend Michiru from an abusive relationship which is not so easy for Michiru to leave behind. Throw in someone else with a complicated love history and is silently in love with Ruku and you have an emotions filled drama. Each character has their only story to tell and everyone faces a different challenge. If there’s a theme to Last Friends, it would be Courage & Love.

I haven’t been this excited about a drama in quite a while. Zettai Kareshi is amazing at leaving you wanting for more. I’ve only recently started watching and finished all the eight episodes that are currently out within 48 hours! This is truly a great drama. Very sweet and engaging. Watch it! [You can read the synopsis below but it really doesn’t do the drama justice.] I dare you to not like it!

Drama: Fated To Love You (命中注定我爱你)
Posted April 29, 2008
on:ISWAK 2, They Kiss Again, sadly just ended last Sunday but I’ve already found a new drama to watch! It’s called 命中注定我爱你. It’s Fated to Love You or Destiny Love in English. It stars 阮經天 (Ethan Ruan) who has only played minor roles in Summer x Summer and Hana Kimi. It also stars 陳喬恩 (Joe Chen) from 王子變青蛙/The Prince Who Turned Into A Frog and 剪刀石頭布/Rock Paper Scissors. I’m writing all of this off of the top of my head so excuse any mistakes.
This drama is pretty comedic and not too sappy or serious. The first episodes, as always, start pretty slowly. I’ve attached the first part of the first episode I found on Youtube. Enjoy!
07/25/08 Update: Fated is getting really good after the first couple episodes. Now that the series is coming to an end, the viewership is at a high. Ethan made the bet to swim naked because he didn’t expect the ratings to shoot so high. Neither did I. Perhaps it’s because of the current lack of Taiwanese television or FTKY is really that good,

It’s finally here! The sequel to the much love ISWAK (It Started With A Kiss) with Ariel Lin and Joe Cheng. Fahrenheit’s Jiro Wang still plays the comic relief and another member of Fahrenheit is also joining the cast. The series (titled They Kiss Again in English) airs Sundays beginning on December 16th.
The first episode gives the impression that this going to be a good sequel and is very likely to live up to the first season. It does not tell very much about where next couple episodes will go. A very long and very sweet makeout session at the end of episode kicks off season 2 with a good start. The relationship between Ariel and Joe’s characters continues in unvocalized love including cute silent moments and little bouts of jealousy.
